Thanks for sharing the date. I’m confident this will prove to be another success for you!
Thanks, Rich! I’m even more excited about this one than I was about Outlining Your Novel.
YAY! I can’t wait! Congrats!
Thanks, Elke! I’m having a hard time waiting myself. 😉
I just got “Outlining” in the mail today and sat and read it all day! And these last few days I’ve had a tingling of an idea in the back of my mind that I’ve been itching to do something with but I made myself wait until I could read your book and I’m glad I did!
I just started doing the “what if” for brainstorming with that ONE little detail (seriously, all it was was the idea of an underground drug causing a plague–and that’s it. Not much) and already I have an idea I’m pretty stoked about and it’s changing as I continue to ask myself “what if” questions about it.
It went from 1 tiny detail that I thought would be more important than it actually turns out it is, to a full blown plot with ideas for scenes and characters and plot points in the space of an *hour*. Of course, I’m probably going to continue to do this for a good long while–a few days, probably–before I move on to the next step! I’m not a person who likes outlining (I’ve outlined once and never finished the story because, by the time I was done, I wasn’t excited anymore), but without it, I find it hard to finish stories.
“Outlining” has already helped my creativity tremendously (I’ve been stuck in a very dark period where it seemed like trying to get an idea I liked was like trying to pull the sword out of the stone for everyone BUT Arthur) so, needless to say, I will certainly be buying “Structuring”!!
That’s awesome! I’m so glad to hear Outlining was helpful to you. The “what if” process is one of my favorites. It’s both liberating and fun. Never know what you’re going to discover! I wish you all the best with your new story.
Yay – will be just in time for me to use it to get ready for November’s NaNoWriMo.
Yes, I was hoping it would be out in time for NaNo!
Yay, yay, and yay! Will there be a preorder option?
No pre-order option. But it will likely be available a few weeks early for a soft launch.
Too excited! Your first book is a lifesaver!
I’m so glad it was useful to you!
