The Last Samurai

Inciting Event: Nathan goes to Japan to train the Emperor’s soldiers to fight the samurai.

First Plot Point: Nathan is captured by Katsumoto, the samurai leader.

First Pinch Point: Ninjas attack Katsumoto’s village.

Midpoint: The Emperor refuses to hear Katsumoto’s plea, and the samurai ways are outlawed.

Second Pinch Point: Katsumoto’s son is killed helping Katsumoto escape.

Third Plot Point: Nathan and the samurai ride to battle against unbeatable odds.

Climax: The Samurai charge the artillery.

Climactic Moment: Katsumoto dies and the opposing army bows to honor him.

Resolution: Nathan takes Katsumoto’s sword to the Emperor, then returns to the village.
