The beginning is really amazing. Promising a great book ahead, can’t wait. 😀

  2. So exciting! I love to cast my characters, too. Something about being able to picture an actor helps me in developing them.

Definitely. And sometimes I’ll go through multiple casts while writing, when I’m wanting to emphasize different parts of a character’s personality.

  3. A great start to a thrilling adventure! 🙂

  4. This is definitely looking interesting.

  5. Fun, wonderful first chapter. My uncle would’ve loved this pilot story. He had his pilot’s license and flew bi-wing, open cockpit planes.

Looks like a story full of fun and highflying escapades….. and I’m sure fun events on the ground.

  6. This is going to be great!

  7. An intriguing opening chapter.
This, and your character descriptions put me in mind of ‘Firefly’ – Hitch sounds like a loveable rogue with a heart of gold much like Mal, so of course my initial ‘casting’ image was Nathan Fillion. “He really is ruggedly handsome, isn’t he?”
I also felt it reminiscent of the ‘Ketty Jay’ stories by Chris Wooding. I love those steampunk stories, and his Captain Frey is again the kind of ‘bad boy’ that you can’t help cheering on.
I definitely want to read more.

Hey, I’ll take any and all Firefly comparisons and run with them. 😉 There are no spaceships (for better or worse), but I hope it has a little of that humorous/adventurous vibe of Firefly.
