Bonus Christmas Gifts for Writers: Writing Books
And if you still haven’t found the right gift for your list or a fellow writer’s this year, you can’t go wrong with the gift of learning. You can check out my full list of Recommended Reading for Writers and my own series of writing books below. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Love this! Thanks so much for sharing.
Of course! This is always a fun post to put together. 🙂
Any/all of these would be welcome at my house!
Mine too! I may have splurged and gotten myself that gold keyboard.
That does look nice. Looks easy to clean too. Doesn’t take long for a regular plastic keyboard to get gross.
*looks at keyboard* Yup, pretty much. :p
Definitely added several of these to my Christmas Wishlist on Amazon!
Merry Christmas to you!
Hope Santa’s listening. 😉
Woot! Woot! I love Christmas! Thanks for this post, Katie!
I LOVE THAT BAMBOO KEYBOARD AND MOUSE!!!!! *mind explodes*
Yes, isn’t that cool? Someone told me that wooden keyboards are actually supposed to be better at disseminating any wireless radiation too. Win-win.
Ooh, awesome…..
I definitely want that Journal set, the gift box, and the bamboo keyboard set. Some of these are so awesome, like the typewriter coasters. I love old typewriters. They were a pain to type on, but I still love them.
Yes, I love the old typewriters too. I have one sitting up on top of my bookcase.
In Seattle, “Keep Clam” is actually the catchphrase of a popular seafood chain called Ivar’s. So people here would see “Keep Clam and Proofread On” and wonder what you were talking about. 😉
That’s cute too!
I love your Christmas gift posts! A while ago, my parents asked me to send them a list of what I want for Christmas, and they complained everything on my list had to do with writing. But really, what else is there to ask for? 😉
I mean, right? :p
What a great list for Christmas this year!! I would love to have/give many of them. In particular, the Premium Leather Business Portfolio and Professional Organizer, one of the signs (probably the first), Coffee Cup (Love my coffee), and your books for gifts, (since I have all of them.)
Yeah, I’m drooling over the organizer. Can’t justify that much though.
I’d love to have the bamboo keyboard and mouse. It’s definitely something different from the usual writers gifts I’ve seen lately.
Yeah, that one just popped out at me. I’ve been saving it all year to share with you guys.
If I didn’t already work on a laptop, I’d be putting that bamboo wireless keyboard on my wish list. And I’m a BIG vintage typewriter fan (would collect more of them if I had the room) and actually have a picture of a deconstructed typewriter. But I would add this one to my collection, too. Thanks for the ideas.
Yes, I love the old typewriters! So much “scope,” as Anne Shirley would say.
Nice list! I don’t think that owl is going to give me much inspiration though, more likely anxiety. He looks like he’s ready to peck me in the face if I don’t meet my daily word goal. Well, maybe that’s the sort of motivation I need… 😀
Hah. I’m not sure why, but owls seem to be everywhere these days. They’re following you…
Oh the books for sure!! I smiled when I scrolled down, not expecting to see anything that I really wanted. Creating Character Arcs and the workbook because I have your other books and they’re very helpful. My story is coming along but my book peeps need some shaping and tweaking. The book/workbook have been on my list since their release but I’ve been recovering from tendinitis and just starting to write/type again. I love to oogle the other goodies though, so thanks for the window shopping trip! Very cool finds!
So sorry about the tendinitis. That kind of thing is no fun. Glad you’re enjoying the books though!
I always love your gift for writers list. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
As I began the rewrite of my novel, I discovered your blog. Talk about synchronicity! It’s really helping me prepare before I resume my daunting assignment.
So here’s a weird Christmas wish – I have to write a sex scene, and I don’t want to wind up on the Fiction’s Worst Sex Scene award list. Any pointers or guidelines or thoughts to share on this tough topic?
I’m afraid I’m not the right person to ask on this, since I avoid them in my own fiction.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Katie, I would love any one of those fabulous and inspirational gifts. You’ve given us an abundance of gifts through your posts. And I thank you. The gift that I wish for you is continued success. I wish for all the writers who follow your post the opportunity to present an audience with their written works.
Happy Holidays! Peace and Love, Saja.
Awww. Thank you so much. Saja! 🙂
Happy Holidays!
It snowed all the way down here in Texas. The stuff’s all over dad’s barbecue pit.
It’s been unseasonably warm here so far. Just wind so far!
Let’s trade properties! Nah, just kidding.
Better stay where you’re at. 35 mph winds here today!
I’m nonchalantly screen-shotting different items on this list and passing them along to a fellow writer friend to see what she says… 😉 I really hope I’ll be able to get her something awesome from this list so I can buy through your links!
—Madi
Cool! I hope you find her the perfect gift. 🙂
For the sake of the discussion, Madi, which of these were your favorites? 😇
Hey! I guess I wasn’t as nonchalant as I thought. 😉 Why, I like the very most budget-breaking expensive one, of course. Just kidding. 😇
I think I’d like all the keyboards. Even though my laptop won’t work with it… I’ll find a way. Actually, that ninety dollar leather thing looks pretty cool. Or I could look in the posts from years past and find more expensive things. 😇
That’s it, I’m getting you coal!
No fair! *pouts*
Great list! Hubby doesn’t know it yet, but he just bought me the Typewriter Coaster Set for Christmas. He even threw in the nostalgic jacks, because he’s such a nice guy. 😛
You lucky girl you. 😉
My favorite in the list is the premium leather business portfolio and professional organizer. It looks so organized, neat, and unique.
I also love the “Keep Talking – I Am Taking Notes for My Next Book” pendant. It is funny and it’s so expressive.
Those typewriter coasters. Into my cart they went.
