Inciting Event: The tourist TwoFlower arrives in Ankh Morpork.
(Key Event: Rincewind the wizard is hired by TwoFlower as a guide.)
First Plot Point: TwoFlower is kidnapped by Ymor, inspiring Rincewind to affect a rescue
First Pinch Point: Fate plays a dangerous piece in his cosmic dice game against The Lady, putting Rincewind and Twoflower in great danger.
Midpoint: Rincewind and Twoflower survive a confrontation with Bel-Shamharoth.
Second Pinch Point: The dragon people kidnap Twoflower
Third Plot Point: Rincewind and Twoflower transition into our universe and then back to their own, leaving them near the rim of the discworld.
Climax: The Lady gives Rincewind and TwoFlowers a chance to escape from their cell and hopefully achieve freedom from their captors.
Climactic Moment: Rincewind and TwoFlows disguise themselves as the pilots of the fish ship.
Resolution: TwoFlowers is launched into space on the fish ship. Rincewind finds himself stuck in a tree at the rim of the world. Death fails to show up himself. Rincewind plunges over the rim of the Discworld toward whatever adventure will find him.
Comments: This one was tricky. The book is very episodic, so in a lot of ways it doesn’t seem to fit traditional story structure. However, all the required plot points are there, even if they don’t seem to quite fulfill the roles they usually would.
